Meeting, Event and Protest CALENDAR

Every Saturday, 11 AM - 12 PM  - "Hands Along High Street" protests, Bartlet Mall, 153 Auburn Street, Newburyport; Join our  weekly protest of the Trump administration and all that is happening on the national level. New people always welcome. Bring a sign or borrow one from our sign library. Note the dates of our themed protests and check back here for details ahead of each one.

Saturday,  August 1st, Dogs for Democracy themed protest - As part of a summer filled with themed protests, join us as we host “Dogs for Democracy”. Bring your dog (with or without their own sign) or just come and have fun petting everyone else’s. We will have dog-themed music and signs, and we’ll even show off our furry friends with a walk along High Street.

We have a bone to pick with this current administration so don't miss this opportunity to keep hounding them. See you at the Bartlet Mall  from 11 AM - 12 PM.

NDCC Tackles Ballot Questions this Fall - The NDCC will dedicate our September and October meetings to a discussion of the nine questions that will appear on the November 3rd election ballot.

Note that these meetings will not be on our usual meeting dates. Please save Tuesday, September 15th and Tuesday, October 6th, 7:00 - 8:30 PM downstairs at the Senior Center, for these valuable meetings.

We are in the process of looking for the perfect speakers to help demystify these questions so save the date and we’ll keep you updated as we choose the best people to come speak with us.

We hope to hear from union leaders, advocacy groups, local business owners and others who can help us understand these complex issues.

The choices we make will have a major impact on life in Massachusetts, so be sure to read the questions (shown here) and be prepared to head into the voting booth with a clear understanding of both sides of these issues.
